In John 14:6 Jesus declares, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” NKJV
Abiding in the Word of God Leads to Knowing the Truth and Freedom
John 8:31-32 is a foundational passage of scripture for the school, and in this passage the word Abide means to remain or to stay, to sojourn, to continue to be present. This is key to understanding why the education of our children must be built on the truth of the Word of God. Truth and Freedom are inextricably linked.
Libertas is the Latin word for Freedom, and each part of the LCA coat of arms speaks to the freedom we have in and through our faith in Jesus Christ.
