The Price of Freedom
The cross represents a brutal death for many in this world, but for the Christian it represents a perfect love and the sacrifice that was necessary to purchase our freedom from the penalty and bondage of our sin.
Romans 5:8 declares, “But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”
Galatians 3:13-14 states, “Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”), that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.”
Libertas always comes at a price, and our Lord Jesus Christ paid the ultimate price to set us free!
